As the sole designer on this project, I worked with the developer's vision of creating an app that could consolidate all transport options, and find the user the quickest and cheapest ride, in the most straightforward way. The main focus here was to be sure that anyone could easily use the app, regardless of technological ability or ...state of mind! So, the design and the flow of the app had to be extremely simple.
After developing user personas, I then used that information to determine the best user flow throughout the app. Next, I sketched out basic wireframes, then designed all the screens in Illustrator, adding some color and flair. I then presented the developers with a complete package containing fully designed, high fidelity wireframes, detailed instructions for development, and a style guide with specific fonts, icons, colors, and sizes.
